If you are not a student, faculty, or staff member at IUP, but are a member of the local community, we welcome you to use our library resources.
Borrowing Materials
A Community Library Card is required to borrow any circulating books, videos, CDs, and audiobooks from the library. Community Library Cards are limited to residents of Indiana, Armstrong, or Jefferson counties who are 18 years of age or older.
Obtain your Community Library Card by visiting I-Card and Vending Services in the lobby of Clark Hall, located at 1090 South Drive in Indiana. You must present a current photo ID and pay a $5 fee to obtain your card.
Once you have your Community Library Card, make an appointment with the IUP Libraries Circulation Supervisor to have your account activated. Call 724-357-4717 or email access-services@iup.edu to make an appointment.
Computer Use
Computer access is provided to community users for the purpose of accessing the IUP Libraries’ electronic resources, including e-books and articles. No login is required.
Printing for community users is not available. However, you have the options of emailing documents to yourself or bringing a USB drive for saving.
