How I became Interested in Psychology
I was coworking on Dr. Michael Lambert's research team during my undergraduate studies. From there I pursued graduate training in clinical psychology. While I still remain clinically active (I maintain a very small private practice), my primary interests have been in the training of students in therapeutic skills.
Current Research and Professional Projects
My research interests include:
- Therapy outcome and process research
- Clinical judgment and decision making
- Client deterioration (getting worse) in therapy
- How therapists determine client progress
- Clinical use of therapy outcome measures
- What makes some therapists more effective than others
