IUP students who successfully complete the EMT course at IUP are eligible for up to four transfer credits through the Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science. More information can be obtained at EMT Credit Transfer Agreement.
The EMT Training Program is a clock-hour certificate program. Students who complete an EMT certificate with IUP may be able to utilize the "4 credit hour" transfer agreement.
The certificate program is ineligible for federal financial aid. This means that current undergraduate/graduate students enrolled in a credit hour degree program cannot utilize the certificate clock hours to meet financial aid (including scholarship) eligibility requirements. Nor will the EMT certificate clock hours be eligible for federal, state, or institutional financial aid. Students considering concurrent enrollment in both the EMT certificate and a degree program should contact the Office of Financial Aid to inquire how this decision may impact their financial aid awards.
