I. Call to order

II. On a Migyanka/McCombie motion the minutes from the November 9, 2010 meeting were
approved.
III. Co-Chairs Report:
A. Liberal Studies Committee
- David Pistole reported on the Liberal Studies revisions.
- The new General Ed. requirements from the state are now 40 hr.
- The LS Committee is looking at ‘going back to the original' intent of the LS Committee.
- Trying to rebuild trust among groups.
- Non-voting senators may be appointed so he will attempt to be appointed to the Senate for the remainder of the school year
- Hoping curricular issues can be resolved
- Assessments and reviews of the LS program must be conducted
- Proposals should be sent from LS to UWUCC for approval rather than just a report being sent
- Focus on upgrading curriculum to include new student learning outcomes
- The Liberal Studies Committee is concerned that if the members of the Liberal Studies
Committee are elected that people elected might come with personal agendas to
say delete Writing Intensive or some other element of the Liberal Studies program. - Will attempt to schedule a joint LS/UWUCC meeting for November 30

C. 10-33a BS Regional Planning/GIS and Land Use Planning Track, program revision
- The footnote (2) on p. 2 should also be in the grid on p. 3 on proposed side.
- Make sure that the track courses are listed alphabetically
- On Periodic Assessment the word year was missing on line 6
- On line 9 replace measuring with ‘using student learning outcomes to measure'
- On a Baumler/Lewis motion the program revision was approved provisionally with Sechrist abstaining.
D. 10-33b BS Regional Planning/Environmental Planner Track, program revision
- Make sure that the track courses are listed alphabetically and then numerically
- On the list of changes remove RGPL 335 Geography of Energy as a change
- In the rationale add statement that the course crosslistings for Climatology, Physiography, Geography of Fresh Water and Conservation have already been made.
- On Periodic Assessment the word year was missing on line 6

E. 10-33d RGPL 352 Planning Methods, catalog description change
- On a McCombie/Lewis motion the catalog description change was approved with Sechrist abstaining.
F. 10-20b FIN 310 Fundamentals of Finance, course revision
- On a Lewis/Baumler motion the course was provisionally approved pending rechecking 9-7 minutes to make sure that all of the changes were completed and merging the exam row so the
hours are correct.
G. 10-43a THTR/ENGL 347 Playwriting (was THTR 347), catalog description change and prefix change
- In the prerequisites, THTR 110 or 111 minimum grade D, is not what is in the catalog
- Current Catalog Description does not match what is in the catalog –there are multiple phrases in quotes and The student will be should be The student is
- On a Lewis/Knight motion the course revision was provisionally approved with one abstention.
- 10-43b B.A. English/Film Studies Track, program revision
