The Center for Career and Technical Personnel Preparation offers professional certificate and degree programs that prepare career and technical teachers and administrators to receive required state certifications.
In ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, candidates receive career and technical professional certification by completing an approved education program offered through one of three regional Professional Personnel Development centers. The centers at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, Penn State University, and Temple University are each approved and funded by the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Department of Education to provide services to certification candidates in their region.
All programs offered by the center include both field-based and classroom-based instruction. IUP faculty members travel to career and technical schools on a regular basis to help teachers and administrators progress through their programs.
