Hip-Hop Culture and Social Responsibility in the Age of COVID

University Archives Awarded Digitization Grant for African American Oral History Collection

IUP Libraries Special Collections and University Archives was awarded a grant from the ϳԹ Historical and Museums Commission to digitize oral history interviews.

Carl Rahkonen, music librarian, will present a virtual session on Samuel Bayard and fiddle tunes of Southwestern ϳԹ on April 28 at 7:00 p.m. Rahkonen’s presentation will examine Bayard’s work among local fiddlers, the tunes he collected, and how he documented their origins from old tune books.

Library Deaccessioning Project Reaches Completion

The IUP Libraries’ Deaccessioning Project, started in 2016, is complete. Library and department faculty have evaluated the physical book collection to identify and remove outdated, damaged, and duplicate books.
