Actor Bill Van Horn will meet with 8-12 IUP Theater majors to explore acting challenges specific to stage productions. There is not a limit to the number of individuals who are able to audit; if you are interested in acting and the theater, be sure to come and learn from one of the best.

Presented as part of Professor Jason Chimonides special topics course on playwright/director collaboration, actor Bill Van Horn will be meet with individuals interested in theater, writing, playwriting, adaptation and interpretation, and the playwright/director collaborative process. Actor Bill Van Horn will work with high school age students of English/drama teacher Gretchen Barbor in exploring acting challenges specific to stage productions. - Question and Answer Session: 10:00 a.m. - Indiana Area Middle School
Presented as the culmination of an ArtsPath artist residency with professional literary artist PJ Piccirillo working with seventh-grade students of English teacher Jeanne Mitsko. Students will have seen the previous evening's performance of Around the World in 80 Days, a play adapted from the great classic by Jules Verne by playwright Mark Brown for Walnut Street Theatre. They will have the opportunity to ask various questions about the script, production, collaboration, etc.
These outreach events are presented by ArtsPath, the Arts-in-Education program of the Lively Arts, as part of the visit to Indiana by Walnut Street Theatre as they perform the classic adventure story of Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, in Fisher Auditorium.
