The Mid-Atlantic Research and Training Institute for Community and Behavioral Health (MARTI) has conducted published empirical research and clinical advisement on a number of important subjects in the commonwealth and the nation; among them: adult children of alcoholics, treatment program evaluations, court-action in domestic violence cases, psychiatric response to domestic violence, and alcohol abuse and drug abuse.

This body of work has been conducted in collaboration with the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Coalition against Domestic Violence, Texas Council on Family Violence, National Resource Center on Domestic Violence, Domestic Abuse Counseling Center of Pittsburgh, and more recently, the Prevention Research Center in Oakland, Calif.

The research projects have received funding from the Centers for Disease Control, National Institutes of Health, the Hartford and Mellon Foundations, and from other funders.
