Biography

Mark Correia joined the faculty of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2016. Prior to joining the department, he was dean of the College of Health and Human Services at IUP. Throughout his career, he has worked with government, non-government agencies, and community-based groups in a variety of research and facilitation capacities. Currently, his interests include developing a deeper understanding of the impact one's individual connection to nature has on their health and the health of a community and collective as a whole; how one's level of consciousness and awareness impacts public policy; and empowering students.
