At S&T Bank, Stapleton is responsible for the retail and marketing divisions, the coordination of efforts with the market executives/presidents and their markets and advisory boards, and the collaboration between lines of business at S&T Bank. S&T Bank is a $7 billion bank holding company headquartered in Indiana.

Stapleton has worked at S&T Bank for 30 years, starting her career as the training manager in 1988. Working her way through various roles in the Department of Human Resources, she was named Executive Vice President and Director of Human Resources and Employee Communications in 2008 and Chief Banking Officer in 2014.

A strong advocate for women, Stapleton has spearheaded many women's initiatives at the bank, including its sponsorship of the Pittsburgh Magazine Women in Business series, Women's Health Conversations, and the PGA Executive Women's Day.

She was honored with the inaugural "Champion for Women" award in 2017 at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bankers Women in Banking Conference for her creation of several female-centric policies and programs, such as a mentorship program, book club for women, and health and wellness programs. In 2014, Stapleton was one of 15 appointed to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Women in Banking Statewide Advisory Committee whose mission is to provide women opportunities for career development, mentoring, recognition, growth, and a deeper sense of inclusion with others within the bank and in the industry, while in turn providing member banks with more developed, educated, well-rounded, and engaged leaders. Stapleton joined the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Bankers Board of Directors as a Group 1 chair in July 2018.

Stapleton is a founding member and continues to serve on the Eberly College Business Advisory Council and has served on the selection committee of its Hall of Distinction. Stapleton is a frequent guest in IUP classrooms and believes in paying it forward so students have greater opportunities.

Active in her community, Stapleton is a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Regional Medical Center, serving on the Quality Committee. She was a founding member of the Indiana County Area Society for Human Resource Management and served four years as the vice president and then president of the chapter, directing the chapter to its award-winning status. She has served on the United Way of Indiana County Board of Directors and as a personnel committee member, and was a trustee of the Indiana Area School District Education Foundation. She previously served on the Indiana Area School District and ARIN IU 28 strategic planning committees and served on the Act 1 tax commission committee.

Stapleton is a 1984 graduate of IUP with a government and public service degree and earned a Master of Public Affairs, Public Administration (budgeting and finance) degree in 1986 from Indiana University Bloomington.

She and her husband Wally have three grown daughters: Leslie, a 2016 graduate from IUP with majors in Biology and Chemistry and a minor in business; Audrey, a senior IUP Sport Administration major, and Haley, a 2017 Wildlife Biology graduate of Colorado State University.
