Mr. Costello is the founder/owner of UpStreme, Inc.a Philadelphia area-based business and technology management consulting firm specializing in enterprise strategy, software logistics, and executive education. Tom provides technical and business management consulting to corporate executives, government agencies, politicians, boards of directors, venture capital firms, and investment bankers in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of technologies to meet strategic and tactical needs of enterprises and government. He has advised both private and public sector organizations ranging from the U.S. Department of State and established top Fortune 500 organizations to early-stage/prefunded startups.

Mr. Costello has formerly held positions with firms such as Cambridge Technology Partners as director of IT Strategy and Planning, CoreTech Consulting Group as director of Management Services, U.S. Healthcare as director of Development, AssetTRADE as both COO and CTO, the QVC Television Network, Shared Medical Systems (Siemens), and GMIS. Tom's work has been nominated and recognized by various organizations, including Forbes magazine and the Eastern Technology Council.

Mr. Costello currently acts as a board member for various organizations, including a seat on IEEE's Advisory Board for IT Professional Magazine and the CIO Institute and also serves as an acting mentor for NASA's SBIR/STTR program.

Mr. Costello has spoken to various industry associations, conferences, symposiums, and universities. Tom has contributed numerous articles published in a variety of national business and technical periodicals, and is coauthor and editor of CIO Wisdom II, published by Prentice-Hall, author of CIO Corner for IT Professional magazine, contributing editor to Computing Now, and is a standing contributor to IT World magazine.

Mr. Costello earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in 1988, where he is currently a member of the Eberly College of Business Advisory Council, an alumni volunteer for IUP Admissions, and a member of IUP Alumni board of directors. Tom served as an Executive in Residence for Eberly in 2009.
