Mr. Young enrolled at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (IUP) in 1985 and graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Upon graduation he joined Price Waterhouse in Pittsburgh as a member of the auditing staff. After two years with the firm, Mr. Young shifted his professional focus from audit to the area of corporate taxation where he served numerous clients in the Greater Pittsburgh area during the following six years.

In 1997, Mr. Young was selected for a two year assignment (based in Detroit) working with PwC Tax Leadership on U.S. strategic planning. After completing this assignment in 1999, Mr. Young was admitted to the PwC partnership in Detroit where he served as lead tax partner on large multinational clients including: Kellogg's, Kmart and Delphi.

In 2003, Mr. Young was appointed as the Detroit Tax Market Leader. In this role, Mr. Young had responsibility for leading all aspects of the PwC Detroit Tax practice. He served in this role and continued to serve clients until he was asked in 2005 to relocate to Chicago and serve as the Tax Leader of the Greater Chicago Market, one of the firm's top three markets in the country. After relocating and assuming the Market Leader role, Mr. Young began serving as lead tax partner on a number of Chicago-based clients including Sears, Motorola, and Veolia.

After serving as the PwC Greater Chicago Market Tax Leader for four years, Mr. Young was appointed the PwC Midwest Region Tax Leader in July 2009 and asked to join the U.S. Tax Extended Leadership Team for the firm. As Regional Tax Leader, Mr. Young has responsibility for leading strategic, operational, client, and human capital aspects of PwC Midwest Region Tax Practice which includes 1,000 professionals located in fourteen key Midwest markets - Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Detroit, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Buffalo and Rochester.

Throughout his career at PwC, Mr. Young has been very interested and active in the recruitment and development of partners and staff. This interest dates back to his time in Pittsburgh when he actively participated for many years in the PwC IUP campus recruiting program.

Mr. Young has continued to actively support a number of charitable organizations throughout his professional career including the March of Dimes and the United Way.

Mr. Young and his wife, Sheila, have three children, Shawn, Sarah, and Julia.

Mr. Young believes that IUP created a strong educational foundation for him as well as his extended family. His parents Ted and Diane (Kramer) Young graduated in the Class of 1960, his wife Sheila (Wisnewski) Young (an IUP Alumni Ambassador Award winner) graduated in the Class of 1990, and his brother Tim Young graduated in the Class of 1992.
